Description

The motor mount is an essential piece to your DIY electric skateboard build. This is the foundation of the entire drive train, responsible for mounting your brushless motor and aligning your belt system. Our mount is designed to survive the harshest skating conditions. Its CNC machined 6061 aluminum construction provides strength and cooling properties all while being lightweight. The kit includes high quality metric hardware to prevent stripping from repeated installation. With a sandblasted black anodize finish, it is sure to add some style to your board.

The slotting features allow this mount to be rotated, flipped, and adjustable. Motor slots allow easy tensioning of various pulley and timing belt sizes. See specifications below for detailed dimensions.

This version features a unique idler tensioner system we first brought to market in 2017. Its ease of use and excellent performance made it a design standard. This new version improves upon its predecessor by redesigning the idler. It now uses a single bearing and roller piece allowing it to clear the wheel, eliminating previous clearance issues. Belt tension can be adjusted with just a single bolt and hex wrench. The days of unscrewing 4 motor screws are over.

The idler pulley changes the path taken by the timing belt in order to engage more teeth on the motor pulley. This results in increased torque transfer without the skipping often seen with high power/fast acceleration setups. Less belt tension is required, reducing bearing pressure. For boards that demand the very best power transfer possible, this is right choice.

Compatibility:

This mount can hold 63mm motors and 50mm motors. For 36T pulleys, a 315mm belt is recommended. For 40T pulleys, a 325mm belt is recommended. A 60T wheel pulley is the maximum size we recommend. For 70T+ pulleys, we recommend our XL Precision mounts.

Other Information:

The mount can be flipped and installed in reverse.
